Hi Everybody, I’m going to see two dogs in rescue tomorrow. I’ll come home with one or both. One of the rescues wants me to take another dog too, that’s not going to happen. I love a multiple dog household, my house isn’t big enough to save the world. Two more is enough for now.
One boy is a 6 year old Yellow Lab. His people died and his dog brother has been adopted. They tell me that he acts like an old man gentleman. Doesn’t he sound perfect for Kate and me?
The other is a 4 year old Golden boy. His young family is having another child and times are tough, they had to decide to place him with someone who can afford to feed him (it takes a lot of love and a big heart to make that decision). They are very sad to let this guy go. The rescue tells me that he is a sweet darling. Doesn’t he sound perfect for Kate and me?
I love dogs! Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow. Pray for me. It’s a bit of a driving trip (I love to drive) and the weather looks like it’s going to cooperate. Clear and 41 degrees tomorrow.
I guess we’ll see what happens! – Darcie
Darcie,
I will be praying for you! Hopefully the decision is an easy one. Whichever you choose (both?) I know Kate will love having an older brother!
wonder if the “golden boy”‘s former family can afford another kid? Guess if they can’t afford the kid, they will give it up for adoption Poor dog, hope he finds a better home that appreciates him.
The yellow lab may need to have a vet check including thyroid. However, dog grieve just as people do. Hope he, too, finds a good forever home
How wonderful -hope all goes well! Can hardly wait to see Kate’s new brothers!
My pups and I wish you well as you see the boys! Looking forward to hearing who you choose and what Kate thinks of a new sibling!
How will Kate feel about sharing your love and space? Maybe she likes being an only child.
Good luck. We just had one of our fosters adopted last Thursday. We have one that I am hoping her front leg was saved after being caught in a trap for coyotes or beaver. The tendons were badly damaged. Another week and we will know and our third one is learning that there are humans that can be trusted. Our personal 5 dogs are very tolerant of all the visiting fosters. Thank you for adopting rescues.
Pat
My pups and I will await the outcome with fingers and paws crossed.
Auf Gluck Meine Friende!
Kein Glück heute. Danke. - Darcie
