Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written! I’m so busy over here.
I have a new customer service person and training is going well, she’s so much fun to work with, you’re going to love her, too, I’m positive of it. We had to laugh at her first week, it was baptism by fire!
Customer service is one of those things in life where when something does go wrong, it goes wrong in threes, this week was so weird. One of the tech guys didn’t get a change made and no one could check out of the shopping cart and we didn’t know it yet….it comes to us in pieces of information until we can put it all together and get it fixed…so much of that weird kind of stuff has been going on the past few months…I’m convinced that every time something bad happens, it’s replaced with something wonderful ..please keep telling us with an email if the store is doing anything weird and we’ll get right on it. At least that mistake that week was human error and not someone trying to crash SitStay.com again. LOL! Nothing major has happened, well, the crash was major, but mostly little blips in the road, nothing that we couldn’t handle with a smile and laugh but it was stuff I hadn’t seen for a while.
It’s good to know that my new staff, like me, will shrug off of the weirdness with a prayer and a chuckle and embrace the happiness and the goodness of our wonderful customers and life in general.
Once again, your prayers for SitStay, my staff, and me have been answered. Thank you to all of the wonderful people who love SitStay.com and the local store and say the nicest and very, very strong prayers…. I wanted to let you know that your prayers have been answered once again. I don’t know how to thank you enough.
A new customer service person at SitStay.com. And a new person at the local store as we say good bye to our lovely Kristy who has left for another state with her husband. I wish her God speed.
Life is good. Kate is growing and so sweet. I am busier than ever. My staff are solid, normal, incredibly hard working people. I’m surrounded by friends. We are still standing strong. And I thank God for all of it. – Darcie
Hello Darcie,
Glad to know you are back, thought something serious happened to you? Nice to know it was only one of those small pot holes in the road of life. Thought I might have to dispatch the girls to find you! Always will you, Kate and SitStay will be in my prayers to the Spirit-in-the-Sky! Keep up the good work! All of us everywhere miss you when you stay away too long!
Hi Darcie!
Shame on anybody who would crashh SitStay.com on purpose! That’s just plain mean. Glad to hear that you’ve been successful in finding another customer service person. I know it’s been quite a search for you. Also glad to hear how Kate is doing. We need more pictures!! We’ve been getting our monthly order of dog food right on time. Praise to your shipping department. Bless you & the whole crew!
Hugs!

Thanks for keeping your store (I use the online store) going. It’s one of only three sources of safe supplies for my dogs that I completely trust and turn to.
Praise be to God for protecting and nurturing the good honest business, SitStay.com. Blessings from God in a business start at the top. When the owner is honorable, honest, and prayerful, God’s power and love works for the good of the business and those who work there. Then they’re works are appreciated and loved by those who do business with them; prayers are sent, and the cycle feeds on itself for the glory of God. I am so glad you are busy and doing well, Darcie, as well as your family of employees. Give Kate a hug for me! Cindy
Love the pictures of baby Kate. She is growing like a weed. Such fun. Judge, my very big Terv boy, is a year old and so much fun. The Belgain girls tolerate him, but love setting him up for trouble. Not hard in boy 4 or 2 legged creatures. Too hot to track so we are at the Lake practicing ball diving!
Send more pictures!!! Blessings to all!
Sandy
Darcie ,Why do you think I have my garage air conditioned here in Phoenix ,and even so at 2 to 4pm it still goes to 94f with 22,000 btu;s pumping as hard as they can when it goes to 110f outside .but it is a dry heat . 95f with humidity is killer ,and this past Monday we tried to test Jessie’s nose at our practice area in the desert at 50% humidity and it was killer for us and the pups ,so we came home and colapsed in the air conditioned house here. We used to use a misting system with 4 fans over my covered 3 kennels and all it did was rot the steel ,and after the last hail storm the whole structure had to be taken down as it was in danger of colapse . $1000.00 later and my own sweat equity like” Phoenix” from its own ashes my new 4 bay all steel carport shelter as arisen on the same site ,and by Fall the flor and lanscaping will be put in to make it look professional again . You guys got what we got out here with 112f and it was miserable ,but we are perpared for it ,living inthe desert as we do ,and when Nebraska is butt deep in snow it is 75F in my patio and I do not have to shovel it . So my pups hibernate in the garage in the afternoon ,cause 94f at 5% humidity still beats 112+ outside or Jessie heads for the basement under the walkway dug out by Gabe ,because it is 65 f all year long and she sleeps down there . So good luck to you poor souls with no ac ,as mine broke down at 115f last year and I had to sleep in a house at 94f and that is why I have a spare roll about ac for my bedroom . This year ,Iam not melting ! John Krawczel Legacy Kennels
Dear John, We can get used to a lot of things, including hot and cold weather, but there is a limit for us, people and dogs. Thanks for the note. – Darcie
Darcie, I apologize for posing this question in this post, but I don’t know how to contact you otherwise.
Another blog I follow claims that they’ve found sharp pieces of plastic and fish bones, as well as the shells of sunflower seeds in several bags of Nature’s Variety’s Instinct Rabbit Meal dog kibble. According to the poster, others have found harmful detritus in their NV dog and cat food as well. See: dogsintraining.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/natures-variety-kibble-issues
Ava, my service dog, eats NV’s Prarie line of kibble as well as their raw. Should I be concerned? Randie
Randie, I wouldn’t believe everything I read online. Call the company and ask the question, they’ll answer you. Darcie
Iam still waiting on what you suggest for weight loss food for Shadow 10 yrs old and 60 lbs should be 45/50 lbs/arthritis in her back hocks, ,and now being roaded every other day . I am trying to get her used to the IAMs wieght loss food ,anything else you can suggest would be helpfull Darcie ! John K Legacy Kennels
Dear John, Feed a raw food diet and feed for what the dog should weigh. She’ll go to that quickly. I don’t like Iams and I won’t sell it in my store. You might take a look at the open letter I wrote to them here in the Dish. – Darcie
