The Crystal Mine was great! We camped there for three days and dug for crystals all day. Found some beautiful stuff and talked to so many dog lovers. We’re definitely getting our doggie fix every where we go. That’s good.
I have family in Reno so we’re staying here for a few days. I love my family, they are the nicest people. Just like me, they open their homes to us as long as we want to stay. I wish I could stay longer but we’ve got to get going again, to many things to see yet and too many miles to go. We’ll leave here around Saturday and get back on the road.
Today we’re going to take a quiet day and go see a movie.
The boy panned for gold in Virginia City yesterday, he took five little nuggets. They are so pretty. I was watching him pan and when we saw the first glitter of gold I can imagine what it was like for the miners and the fever that ensued. Pretty.
