Leaving San Diego

We’re leaving San Diego today and heading toward San Francisco. Then to northern California where I was born….foothills of the Sierras. Can’t wait to show my grandson the old place and the swimming hole I swam in as a kid. It’s cold mountain water!

Our favorite part of Sea World was the dogs and cats show. Impressive training and most of them are rescues. I like that.

No matter what your take on Sea World might be, is it right or wrong, it’s not all bad. I talked to so many people and they never thought of conserving water, watching their use for trash, or saving the planet until they saw the Orcas close up.

Dogs are everywhere traveling with their people. I love this! Can’t wait to get myself another dog.

We’re off to continue our adventure. Don’t forget to enter the Rescue a Rescue Sweepstakes. Be generous and tell everyone you know! If you have any questions, email help@sitstay.com.

One Response to Leaving San Diego

Darcie: So today (6/24/2010) you are leaving San Diego. I grew up in San Diego,(1951-1990) in the Point Loma area. I watched Sea World being built back in the 60′s. Sea World is a great asset to the Mission Bay area because where Sea World sits today use to be the San Diego City Dump for trash and refuse. I know that Sea World treats their animals as the best as anyone on earth can treat them and it s a GREAT educational source for all persons of all ages. Have a really great trip, Darcie.

Yours truly in the LOVE of Jesus Christ,
