Dear Darcy, How much is home dog/puppy training? I'm thinking about getting a home dog trainer. How much does it usually cost? I know it depends and the price varies, but what does it generally cost? I'm thinking about getting a trainer from (SNIP advertising). Anyone heard of them? Are they successful at what they do? Also, in general, do these (dog training) lessons pay off. That is, are they even worth it/ beneficial? If it helps at all, I live in California. Arlie

Dear Arlie, The cost will depend entirely on what your trainer charges. In home is fine, please do use a positive trainer, no choking, no alpha rolls, no hitting, no shock collars, no jerking and no metal. All of those things are not necessary for a pup or a dog. If you use anybody who uses other than purely positive training, no harm or punishment to the dog, you'll have a pup who won't trust you, it's not a good way to bond with your dog. Clicker training is the fastest and best way to train a puppy, see clicker training at SitStay.com. Thanks. - Darcy
