		<description>Darcie, thanks.  Wonderful post and right on target, as usual.  My dog has never been much for petting - he&#039;s a rough and tumble adolescent.  Oh, training was progressing very well and my little guy has always listened to me (almost exclusively), but living with him was sort of like living with a cat in a dog&#039;s body.  He&#039;d come by now and then, make sure that he knew where I was and then go off and do his own thing.  Then I started feeding him by hand.  Not much to do there, since he&#039;s fed raw (prey model) and it mostly constituted my smiling at him while offering him a quarter of a chicken or something like that.  He&#039;s still very independent (and I wouldn&#039;t want that to change).  But you know, over the past few weeks, we have a stronger connection - and other people have even commented on it without prompting.  Thanks again and keep &#039;em coming!</description>
